Or, what do people use in place of SJG Ogres', since they are so hard to find? Mainly looking for the BIG vehicles. Thanks Moe |

Some of the larger tanks from the Battletech setting would work--either the plastic prepained Mechwarrior clix, or the Battletech metal miniatures from Iron Wind. |

I suggest Tin Soldier's "Days of Empire" mega tank and landship range might be a good fit:
link And Monday Knight Productions has some mega-tanks that could work as well:

There are a couple of companies selling landships that a are pretty cool if aesthetically unharmonious, but the real answer lies in 3D printing. Any minute now. |

You post this to both the 6mm and 15mm Sci-Fi boards, what scale are you actually aiming for? |
Coyotepunc and Hatshepsuut | 26 Feb 2015 10:31 a.m. PST |
15mm Ogres would rock! But I think the intent was that some of the 15mm guys might have some suggestions of 15mm models that would make good Ogres in 6mm. |
Moe the Great | 26 Feb 2015 11:25 a.m. PST |
I think 6 is the goal;, but I do like the idea of using 15mm Vehicles to represent 6mm Big tanks.. |

Great Googly Moogly… $90 USD for a 1/300 land ship.. I am in the wrong business.. :P |

The old, as in original BattleTech Demolisher tank makes a good Ogre stand in. link |

Great Googly Moogly… $90 USD USD for a 1/300 land ship.. I am in the wrong business.. :P I have one, and fair's fair, it's more a train-of-landships. That said, I'd have never bought one full price, or unpainted. I got mine well-painted AND a heck of a lot cheaper. I think I have some of the largest Maatacs around for a compare. I think the throw weight vs the cost made them the sure winner. Doug Edit: 15mm Ogres would rock! 25mm even more so; Wild Walls of FLA did some games at Gencon in the mid-90's. Along with the six foot long Star Wars ships… *sigh* Come to think of it, I've got a 15mm GEV from DCP, at home some where. |
Moe the Great | 26 Feb 2015 1:02 p.m. PST |
TheBeast, Do you have pictures? PiP, Nice suggestion. I always liked the demolisher. |
TheBeast | 26 Feb 2015 1:33 p.m. PST |
Of the con games? No, though I think they can be found. Interesting thing was it was both Ogre Miniatures scale and 25mm; started at one end of room with micro figs, then after attrition while crossing battlefield, I think there was a gate to be entered, where everything was macro. I did find some from 1999, but I think this is a different group, not Sci Fi Supply (MAKER of Wild Walls). Dean may have a comment. link Thanks to Dean for reminding me of the presense of Julie Catlin Brown, of whom Sir Randall has a rather pleasant picture standing next to me. VERY close. ;->= Doug Edit: AND if you mean comparison of Reviresco and Galactik Knights, sorry. |

I make my own. I'll put the three newest ones on the market place.

@Russell Very Nice. and very creative!! What's the measurements? |
Russell95403 | 27 Feb 2015 8:31 a.m. PST |
Moe, sorry I have sold them off. Didn't take measurements before selling. The two blue ones were rather big.. maybe 4" |
Moe the Great | 27 Feb 2015 9:31 a.m. PST |
No worries, I was just curious how big you are making them. I have nothing to compare them too.. (Like an original Ogre) |
Lion in the Stars | 27 Feb 2015 12:03 p.m. PST |
You could probably bash an OGRE together out of Khurasan's Siler MBT hull and some naval turrets/detail pieces. |
Moe the Great | 27 Feb 2015 1:59 p.m. PST |
I think I have one of those..hmmmm |
Artraccoon | 28 Feb 2015 8:02 a.m. PST |
Reviresco's, tin-solider.com, Days of Empire "Monster tanks" are really good, and the price point is easy on the wallet…$8.00 to $9.00 USD USD. Their hulls are on average 3/4th the length of a Mk. V Ogre, and are an imposing sight on the table. The most "Ogre-ish" model would be the "Despoiler" found in the "UES Monster Tanks" line. It's got twin turrets, and good looking chassis. I've got two in my army, but I modified the front turret to carry two guns instead of the single "Tunguska Blaster" it came with. |

The Daemonscape 25/28mm vehicles can be large supertanks, from what I've seen. Particularly the 6-tread Leviathan. Product code GZG-201 link
It looks like there's only two hatches locking it into 28mm scale. Easily sanded off and replaced. Best, JBR |

Good call, JBR: I'd forgotten that one completely. John T |
TheBeast | 09 Mar 2015 9:16 a.m. PST |
JBR, if that's an old GZG design, I think I have one of those, SOMEWHERE. Could stand as super in 15mm. I might choke a bit at 6mm. Of course, I'm finding more and more, gamers' thresholds of reality are ALL over the board. ;->= Doug |
John Treadaway | 09 Mar 2015 10:55 a.m. PST |
It is an old GZG design. John T |

Seem to remember at one time SJG was working on OGRE Macros. Not sure of the scale but looked to be much bigger like 20 mm maybe. |
