Nice work. About Saxon figures, you say cavalry is lacking. Eureka makes Garde du Corps and von Zastrow cavalry. Steve Barber makes the rest…there is a gent from Austria (I think) who has built the entire 1810 Saxon army at 20:1. He has posted his work at the League of Augsburg forum, at link |

paxx88, well done. For horse, agree with Ed (thanks for the link). The Eureka figures are very nice. I'll have to check out Barber's. Hopefully Kawe with Westfalia will create more for his wonderful Saxon range, too. |

Thanks all for the suggestions and feedback. I have used the eureka saxon Guard du corps and zastrow cuirassiers but the sculpts were a lot smaller and thinner than other 28mm manufacturers. They did not IMHO fit in with Perrys which are on the smaller end of the 28mm scale. I will keep searching would really like some light cavalry. |

Must agree with you that they are a bit "slight" for a Royal Bodyguard of heavy cavalry. I did really like the quality of casting but felt they needed beefing up. Their shoulders were especially narrow so out came the Greenstuff!
I posted some pictures here a couple of years ago, but my photo skills are not up to yours imageshack.com/i/0xxmfgJ

Apologies, I should have directed you to this link to see the "modified" Eureka figures before and after painting. imageshack.com/i/idtYorlaj |

Thanks for sharing! One of my favourite armies (for both the SYW and Napoleonic periods)! |

deadhead i like your work with the greenstuff as the minis are a little slight compared to others. the horses to are smaller but lovely sculpts never the less both horse and rider. you really did them justice. |
