Remember that story a few weeks back about Russian ships basing in Cyprus that was officially denied by the Cypriot government? link :) |

Not surprised at all. I wonder when they'll be visiting Greece? |

The denial was against a suggestion that Russia was going to be permitted to lease bases (i.e. in their entirety, with complete control) Cyprus is merely permitting Russian ships to use them for humanitarian purposes "for example in case of a need to evacuate Russians from the Middle East" and seems to be no more than an extension of an existing agreement. As they officially denied, (and continue to deny), Russia has never approached Cyprus about leasing bases and there has never been any question that Russia would be allowed to lease bases on Cyprus, or build a base there. |

Let's find the bogeyman! Is he under the bed? Hmm! Not there, is he in the closet? Oh! Not there either. Is he in the next armament procurement budget? Now we're getting warmer. Cheers and an ice cold vodka for me please. |

No, he's in Crimea, and Eastern Ukraine, and practicing paratrooper airdrops for rapid assaults on points yet unknown, but strongly hinted at. Apparently, at least one is setting off bombs in other Ukrainian cities as well, just to keep people on their toes. |
