Great modelling – the base work is particularly nice and the rabbits rising from the ground is very well done.

Appalling subject matter – other than the belief that he's a better writer than Tolkien – what on (middle-)earth was Peter Jackson Thinking of?

Ahhh yes: money…

Have agree with the above. It was at this point in the movie that my eyes glazed over and I just endured the remaining several hours. All I saw was a video game and dollar signs (for Mr Jackson). At least it prevented me from wasting my time and money on the rest of the movies.

Yup. Great work, but the rabbit sled was strike one, strike two was the elf-lady/dwarf boy romance, strike three was taking a voice like Benedict Cumberbatch and digitizing it so as to be unrecognizable.

Thanks for the 'Tango-ing' :)

The Hobbit certainly seems to have polarised the fan base, (more so than the LOTR movies did?)… some seeing some aspects as Heresy! Others just going with it, and enjoying the ride… I guess I'm in the latter camp!
