Ok, so I finished the sculpting on the model. Both trunks are in position wrapped around the gun. The gun itself is finished and painted. All that is left is to attach some wire to the holes in the stock that will connect to a power pack on the body. Tomorrow, I buy supplies to build the harness and equipnent on the main body.

Is this for some sort of Footfall gaming opportunities? :)

Damon.

Isn't it going to be rather complicated to make a battalion of 800 to 1,000 of these?

Looks wonderful.

Footfall: great book!

This is an action figure scale project, designed to be a toy. There will be only one! Footfall was my inspiration, but after that I am taking it in my own direction. He (or she, hard to tell sometimes with alien biology) is called Fluke by the rest of my toys, because they have difficulty pronouncing the actual Fithp-language name.

punkrabbitt do you plan on selling these??

Coyotepunc and Hatshepsuut26 Feb 2015 12:39 p.m. PST

Sorry, Heinz, but this is just a one-off action figure toy for myself. Since my close-up vision has departed along with my steady hands, I have gone up to 100mm scale, and have been buying my favorite childhood action figures from ebay to stimulate my creativity. This little project is the first result of that. My next project will most likely be building a neo-dolphin walker waldo suit from David Brin's "Uplift" series, also in 100mm/action figure scale.

Hypothetically, how much would people be willing to pay for one of these?

Nice work!
