In a couple of weeks Alternative Armies will release two new units of cavalry for Flintloque and Slaughterloo. Twelve new 28mm fantasy poses for the Von Rotte Legion. These Dwarves are well on the way to a whole army. Hussars and Cuirassiers now! Here: link Click through to look at pictures of the sculpts and to read more. Thanks. GBS alternative-armies.com |

Great looking figures. The Von Rotte releases have some very tempting miniatures, they almost deserve a new back story and theme. I propose the Great Sauerkraut War! He He;) Tony |

The hussars look good, nice touch with 3 different troopers. The pelise is a nice touch. Shouldnt the cuirassiers have a cuirass (ie breastplate/armour-thingie)? I dont like the pigs but since the riders and mounts are separate (big thank you!) its really up to me to decide. So the hussars are on the "probably" list and the cuirass on the "maybe". |

Hello Chaps! Thanks for the comments and kind words. The Von Rotte will get some more background to go with what is in Slaughterloo, Beir and Bones and Grapeshotte. Look to the Notables Yahoo Group soon for that. We modelled the core of the Von Rotte on the Prussian Army of the Seven Years War but there are differences. The mount is an obvious one. We love the pigs but these also fit the Boar and the Pony mounts and will fit horses too. The Cuirassiers are Valon Fantasy and not like the historical ones we went for a lack of cuirass and added the Tricorne but kept the straight sword. They instead have stiffer uniforms across the chest. Why you ask…well we might expand again in the future with a super heavy unit in plate type armour. Flintloque does not keep to history but is inspired by it. GBS alternative-armies.com |
