Whenever I post a message (like now) the screen font in Chrome looks 'eaten away' and is very hard to read. I don't have any problem with other websites or IE. The Subject field is fine. This only affects the Message field.

I see that occasionally, too, but not today.

I don't know why this problem suddenly appeared, but I have found a good workaround.

I went into Chrome, Settings, Advanced, Web Content, Customise Fonts and changed the Fixed-width font from Courier to System. (I'm using Windows Vista.)

This has given me a nice bold black font for posting here.

Just tried it and I can now read it OK,

I did suspect it might be linked to a Chrome setting

After discovering the same monospaced font problem in programs other than Chrome, I realised that I had a general Windows problem. It appeared to be an instance of "font degradation following a Windows security upgrade" (!). There was a fix for this on the Microsoft website and it worked. I have now reverted to Courier in Chrome.
