I have a 15mm Minifigs Chasseur regiment from about 1979 without a standard bearer. It has the other command figures (Colonel and Musician) but the standard bearer went missing. My troopers all have their sabers at the ready/shouldered. Any tips on possibly converting one of these guys to the standard bearer? Any tips on what to do?

Thanks,

John

Any tips on what to do?

1. Cut off the sabre. As it's 15mm I'd cut off his hand too.
2. Cut and fit a pole for the standard from stiff wire.
3. Glue in place, making him a new "hand" with a blob of glue at the appropriate place.
4. Make the standard from paper and glue using PVA to hold the folds.

^^^That's what I'd do as well.

I'd cut off the saber and use a small bit in the pin vise drill and hand drill at the site of the saber…then use a piece of copper wire or sewing needle as the flag staff…

Field the unit without a standard bearer – most cavalry didn't carry them after a certain date which somebody other than I will know.

But…but…I have to have a standard bearer. It's all part of the pageantry! grin

Thanks for the tips. That's kind of what i thought. Slicing the hand is a nice idea. That's what I did to repair my lancers.
