I'm still waiting for my request to join the SFSFW, so I thought I'd post this here as well… Does anyone know if there are Aeronef rules for the Martian flying machine miniature from Brigade? I'm guessing someone somewhere might have developed some. Happy to do my own, but I'm curious to know if this has already been done. Thanks Chris |

Missed the window to edit! But given the model I'm talking about is listed in the Land Ironclads section of the Brigade website, maybe I should have mentioned those rules instead! |

I have posted on SFSFW with your request and hopefully you will get a reply soon. Tony |

Hi Chris – no, I don't think there are ! That's a bit of an oversight, so I'll have a ponder and see what i can come up with Tony Brigade |

Thanks both!I appreciate your replies! Tony F: If you are pondering that, maybe the Martian infantry could be spared a thought too?! ;) Thanks again, chaps! Chris |

Check out The Aeronef Captain's Handbook… Martian flyers are on pages 5-7. The stats for the Martian ground troops are on page 39 of the Land Ironclads book. |

Hi Otto Thanks for that, but the flyers in the handbook are 'Nef types. I'm looking for smaller ones. I'll probably mod the plane/bomber rules for that. And the Martian lists in LI are for tripods and catchers (all contraptions and LIs). They have no infantry types in the book. |

This was posted a few years ago on the Wessex Games VSF group, by Matthew Hartley:- We will be doing stats for all the Martian flyers in either Aeronef 2nd Ed or Redcoats on Mars. "The Olympian Martian Flyer should be a Class 5, just as Tony suggests, so you could just build one using the rules in Aeronef, pending the second Ed. Alternitatively, you could classify it as a Contraption with the Good Exception "Flying Unit" (costing 10PV for that exception)." |

Ah, okay. Thanks! I've yet to buy it so I didn't know what size it was. A Class 5 means it might be bigger than I though! In any case, thanks for posting this and for the ideas! |

This may be a bit late, but at the bottom of the table here link there seems to be stats for an Olympian Flyer. |
