Well, I promised to post some pictures of my progress on my figures and I am happy to say my entire Greek army whose purpose is to go mess with those pesky Republican Romans. A completed army amazing!
First up is the Greek secret weapon.

The Greek commander urges the phalanx onward.

Skirmishers deployed in front of the main body prepare to engage the enemy.

On the left flank the light cavalry prepares to move out.

The heavy cavalry back up their lighter brethren.

The center of the army.

The left flank.

The right Flank.

Finally the entire army arrayed for battle.

Note the mysterious cloud shadow mirroring a giant hand, an ill omen perhaps?

I am quite happy with how these have turned out and comments are welcome. Now on to those pesky Republican
Romans so I can have my first ancients battle with these guys in 30 years.
This entire army consists of 8 hoplite units, 2 Phalanx units, 3 light cavalry, 2 heavy cavalry, 6 skirmish units and the dread war elephant unit.
The figures are almost all Ral Partha historicals with a smattering of Hinchliffe.

Good job!

Great job on those figures. I know you mention Ral Partha and Hinchliffe but are there some RAFM figures mixed in there?

I have RAFM ancients but there are none in that army. The command figures are Foundy and not Ral Partha or Hinchcliffe. I didn't count them as I just grabbed them to throw in the pictures. All of these figures are 30+ years old now. For the curious I am planning on using Sword and Spear rules for this project.

Very nice! I like the old RAFM minis, small but nicely sculpted.

Not at all bad!

Love the old Ral Parthas. I'm currently working on the Berbers from the 1200 AD range, with several others in the queue. Nothing like putting some paint on some old school minis and breathing life into them!

I used to have some of those Ral Partha Greeks (as well as Carthaginians, Macedonians, Persians, and Romans) when they were new back in the 80s. That seems like yesterday. Man you make me feel old. But thanks for the memories.

They look great, and it gives you a good sized army for Sword & Spear. I hope you enjoy the rules.

I like these figures very much.
