I have an idea to use a German FOO in a obsolete 6 Rad 231 Armored Car. The use is with my Kurmark. This was a Panzer Gren Divion called up as one of the 30 Januar Divisions. For out of a KG and GrossDeutschland remnants. There was a aufklarungs unit of Heavies and so on. Now for my 28mm Germans I am looking to load to my ranks an FOO. Being in PZR GREN div. being in something armored is not too far fetched. Now since this vehicle was relegated to training and what not by the middle of the war it would fit scenario that these types of equipment were pressed back into service. I have one with a bedframe antenna(the big antenna seen on armored cars). So in several ways it fits the role. Hard evidence would be nice to have but if a few agree this could work then I am off to Warlord to score the FOO. That gives me 3 of the 4 man crew right there. Hard to think they could have been crossed trained to fire the 20MM. they could have it but give minuses if they use it. So opinions wanted. Also have some thoughts on using with Muncheburg Div with all the cool infra red stuff. But then how would a FOO spot at night? UHU with a Infra sight to scan the area. Then call in the Arty? Just some thoughts guys. Late war means we can get away with some things but I do not want to be too far off the mark. JH |

Mr. Zone: I never had a breakdown of the Aufklarung. I like this one in that the jager and panzer Abteilungs are the same minus the Stugs in the Jager. Pretty specific numbers to get exact matches. I think it was just redundancy. That Fedlgrau is amazing. I must have missed it in my research. This is why I ask questions. Kurmark seems to be missing Artillery assets. So a FOO may not even be an idea to work with. Still think it is a sound idea and may use it. Thank you for the info. We use the Mark IVs as the Stab for the Hetzer and Stug Companys and overall command. Piece it out as 14 Hetzers in company. Piece out as Platoons based on scenario. This 14 has 1 Panzer IV as Stab. Stugs with 3 Hetzers as Company with 1 Mark IV. Overall Stab and Escort is 1 Mark IV and the 2 Panthers. Pretty neat to have an entire Battalion. Looks terrible. Still have the Stugs to put together and 3 hetzers. took 3 years. JH |
