They look like rats. They don't look like pirates, at all.

What do rat-pirates look like then?

Think of an unwashed Mackenzie Crook.

These are some of the best ratmen I've seen.

I just caved and ordered some of these. Maybe I'll make a warband for Song of Blades and Heroes as a side project. Some conversion plans are forming in my head: I don't need a musician, so I might convert the drummer to be carrying some sort of primitive flamethrower or giant blunderbuss; a couple of the muskets could easily be converted into normal-sized blunderbusses (they're such suitably messy, "ratty" weapons to use); a couple of swordsmen could be re-purposed as grenade throwers; the leader will get some sort of headgear (maybe a dreadlocked human scalp) and a few spikes and bangles; finally, if I'm up for it, I might convert a couple of figures into stealthy assassin types with throwing daggers and/or braces of pistols, although those will be trickier conversions.

Glad you like them my friend.
