"In the sea of Biblical series coming to TV this spring, yet another will be National Geographic Channel's historical series KILLING JESUS which just got its first trailer! To air March 29th, this three hour series will see Kelsey Grammer leading the star studded cast as King Herod! He will play the unrelenting and ambitious Roman King of Judea, who attempted to kill Jesus (Haaz Sleiman) at his birth, in the story which will chronicle the life of Jesus of at a time of intense political and social and conflict in the Roman Empire that ultimately led to his death! The series also stars Stephen Moyer as Pontius Pilate, Rufus Sewell, Eoin Macken, John Rhys Davies, Aneurin Barnard, Tamsin Egerton"

They note it is based on a best-selling book, but they are reluctant apparently to name the author! evil grin

Again?

That's great and all, but my cable package does not get NatGeo, so Kelsey Grammer needs to get back to doing more NETFLIX episodes of, "Boss."

Go on… Now.

I think the book is by Martin Dugard

Privateer4hire20 Feb 2015 4:33 p.m. PST

Didn't O'Reilly write that?

Jeigheff20 Feb 2015 4:46 p.m. PST

The series should be titled "Killing" Jesus (please note the position of the quotation marks.) His would-be killers failed.

Shouldn't this be in the Fantasy Media Message Board?

If the "Roman King of Judea" is an example of their accuracy and attention to detail, than this one can be safely missed.

If the film is as much fun as the Grauniad review quoted…

Kelsey Grammar is a pretty funny guy, but unless they include the Pythons, I'm not watching it.

Rebelyell200623 Feb 2015 4:11 p.m. PST

I'd rather see the Benny Hill version…

"…unless they include the Pythons…"

Do you mean the Offical Pythons, the Continuity Pythons, the Real Pythons, or the People's Pythons of Judaea???

Sounds like something Steve Irwin would have been involved with.
