First figure for my 10mm range arrived this morning, got big plans for this, its been a favourite scale for me for years, I had several armies back in the day when I had armies, if that makes sense. Anyway here is the first guy a Frenchman of the line, I have stood him next to a pendraken Austrian figure so you can get the size comparison, lots more to come obviously, but its got to start somewhere. Any thoughts are welcome. Lancer Miniatures |

Nice looking little fig and great detail Biggish head but I find that having a slightly larger head makes the small figs look better I also love the posture – looks like a working soldier, not some palace guard pretty boy! |

I'd second Frederick's comments. The face looks excellent and really brings the figure to life. He seems a little short legged – not unlike me, in fact! |

very nice , looks like good sharp details , raised enough to be easy to paint . i think that's very important in 6mm and 10mm , if i have to look hard for straps etc. then it's not so much fun to paint |

You are producing these I gather? Very nice indeed. I assume metal although grey colour almost suggests plastic…..too good to be true for conversions and economy. Plastic would be a massive investment for any manufacturer starting out. |

Nice work, especially on the trousers. |

Thankyou for your kind comments, yes Deadhead metal it is, as you say in plastic costs would be massive, but to be honest for myself I am still old fashioned, I love the feel of metal, (not kinky honest). Davoust not saying no but sticking with Austerlitz and The Polish campaign of 1807, see how they do, if people like them, then would be expanding. The list already, is giving me a headache, and the bank manager has put his tent up on my front garden so I cant escape, fun times ahead I hope. lancerminiatures.com is my website, but of course no 10mm to look at yet. |

Nice to see 1805-07 in 10mm. I know it is not an easy question to answer, but do you have a timescale in mind? Chad |

For the French excluding hardware, 3 months should have most infantry and hopefully cavalry, Artillery and limbers take a bit longer. Then onto the Russians or Austrians, not sure which to do first. |

I am just happy they are not 1809 + or Waterloo. I will check the site periodically and plan to get a few packs. |

your site is not bookmarked. good luck and hope to support your effort in the future. Your 20mm SYW look interesting. |

I cant paint for toffee but couldn't be bothered to do any work this afternoon, so sat down and slapped some paint on to give me an idea how they will come out, I use wooden floor cleaner and brown shade for the wash, fairly pleased how they come out for me, looking forward to getting the rest of the figures made so I can start doing units. |

Very nice, really good looking figures. Well done sir and nice to get a range that does not just do Waterloo. |
Mollinary | 23 Feb 2015 1:17 p.m. PST |
Well, I think you are too modest re your painting skills. They look excellent – lots of life and character. Well done! Mollinary |

Cheers guys, didn't fancy Waterloo campaign, been done to death and French certainly not at there best, my favourite period is Austerlitz through to Poland, there is so much going on, the French army is at its peak and of course Napoleon, shouldn't forget him, and the uniforms are the bees knees. Bavarian is my favourite uniform so got to do them as well, but I needed to start with the French. Thanks Mollinary very kind, must admit looking forward to doing a whole unit and basing them up, that always makes a difference of course. |

More figures turned up this morning html]
That's the command pack and the basic line infantry done, and the first dragoon. Sorry the pictures not very good, but camera struggles to focus. Will be making the mould this weekend so hopefully something will be listed this weekend. html]

Have added the grenadiers and voltiguers to the range, I have stuck with campaign dress, they are different to the line by virtue of epaulette s and sword, buzbies and shakos coming soon |
WeeWars | 05 May 2015 7:17 a.m. PST |
Great work, Kieven! I'll be getting some of your French lights, for sure! Looking forward to your pre-carbine carrying French Cuirassiers! Big gap in the 10mm market. Then onto the Russians or Austrians, not sure which to do first. Austrians! Austrians! Austrians! Especially cuirassiers with no back plate! And grenadiers! |
Lancer58 | 06 May 2015 11:41 p.m. PST |
WeeWars once I have the Dragoon command (about 2 weeks), the French Cuirassiers are going to be next. Then I get the vague impression you may be interested in some Austrians. |

These look very good. I think that the decision to link the musket to the hat is a must in very small scales. I HATE broken bits and would rather have oversized weapons and details than broken ones. Design decisions like these make a lot of sense. |
