Hi At a loose end gaming wise after my boys decided they were too old to play wargames! Spent the last couple of years painting for sale, but would love to get back into some tabletop battling. I don't have an army from any period at the moment, so would be starting from scratch and I tend to work pretty slowly!! If anybody out there is looking for an opponent, I am interested in just about all historical periods, with a particular interest in Ancients, Medieval, Hundred Years War, Wars of the Roses, English Civil War and have had Napoleonic armies in the past, but would consider having a go at most games and periods. If you want to get an idea of where I'm coming from, have a look at my blog at link Cheers Phil |

How 'North' Nottinghamshire? We meet in Sutton in Ashfield which passes as West Nottinghamshire, but the county is not that big. |

My home town these days is Retford. We venture out your way quite regularly during the Summer – one of my boys plays cricket in the Bassetlaw league and there are a number of teams in and around Mansfield. What sort of things are you guys into? |

We are playing quite a few things, but of late there has been quite a lot of ACW (Black Powder or Longstreet), Medieval skirmish with Lion Rampant, Ancient and Medieval with either Hail Caesar and To The Strongest. WWII and SCW with Chain of Command, plus many others. Club nights are on Tuesdays and Thursdays, numbers vary from half a dozen up to about 20 players. You can get an idea of some of the games I play there on my blog: link |

Wow! The Punic Wars games look superb. I have a box of Victrix Romans still un-opened – after seeing those I'll struggle not to open them now. Inspirational stuff. |
