Saw it recently and it was legitimately enjoyable, not the so-bad-it's-good I had heard some people say.

<quote>It did not disappoint. I haven't had this much fun at a movie since, well Insterstellar, but Insterstellar was fun more like carefully assembling an intricate model kit is fun, whereas Jupiter Ascending is action figures and nerf guns and silly string and too much sugar kind of fun.

"Jupiter Ascending: Beauty and the Beast/Snow White meets Warhammer 40,000, with fewer skulls for the skull throne," was what I immediately blurbed upon returning from the theater, and that's a pretty good starting point.</quote>

Has anyone else seen it? What did you think?

Lots of sizzle, but no steak!

Chuck05, the movie I saw had a wolf-chimera-supersoldier with rocket boots fighting dragons in a massive Soylent Green factory in the middle of a giant storm on Jupiter. And the factory is exploding. Was this part of the same movie you saw?

Granted, I have incredibly juvenile taste in space opera and can be convinced to go see a movie by descriptions such as that.

Should have been called "Mila Descending" based upon how much falling she did in the movie….

The movie I saw had a derivative plot and weak acting. The action scenes were blurry, hard to follow and and overdone. I also hate it when the main characters fall in love for no reason at all other than that the writers tell us they are.

I love schlocky sci fi movies as much as the next guy but this just didnt do it for me.

To each their own.

"Produced, directed, and written by the Wachowskis"

Well, there's your problem, right there.

While I enjoyed it, i am more and more convinced that the Wachowski brothers stole the plot of the first Matrix movie…

You're just figuring that out now?
