I've received a suggestion that we should make a change in the email verification system. Currently, if your email address is unverified, your status is listed as "not trusted." While this is an accurate description of the status of your email account, some find it offensive or insulting. So: What should the "status" field say if your email address is unverified? |

How about unclean? goodness too many people are so thinned skinned. If the email is unverified then it is untrustworthy. Bill ignore those who have nothing better to do than to whine and complain. I have had my email labeled untrustworthy about 5 times. I do what is asked, as I want to stay here, and move on. |

Not everyone here is a native English speaker, and not verified has a different tone from untrustworthy, imho. It's just a string, right? |

Must admit that when I popped in to TMP a week or so back and went to post a comment and it stated that only 'trusted' members could post I was a bit taken aback. Even after 8 years the annual 'verification' sometimes comes as a surprise. This last time had me wondering for a minute if I had stepped on some toes and was DHed. A quick look at my profile let me know it was that time again. At any rate while not a significant issue as the term verified was used twice to explain why the email accounts were considered 'untrustworthy,' the switch to 'unverified' seems appropriate. |

I read the other topic about this……. I'm not sure I could comment directly and avoid the dawghouse, so I'll just settle for rolling my eyes. Unimportant, but if its easy to change and avoids a massive over reaction then I'm glad its changed. |
