Hi guys,

I am starting to acquire some buildings and noted that Battle Flag states their old west model buildings found when clicking on the tab for deluxe model kits are 1/56th scale – heroic scale. Do these buildings work satisfactorily with the 28 mm figures without looking out of place? I do not plan on buying heroic scale 28 mm figures. Some but not all of the buildings shown in the tab for Blackwater Gulch are duplicated in the tab for the Deluxe Model Kits. Does this mean those not duplicated are not heroic scale? Thanks for your guidance.

I have a couple of links on my blog for you. The first is a general comparison of all the laser cut brands that were available at the time I wrote it. It may need a little updating but it should prove quite useful. The second are some completed battle flag buildings, including WIP builds.

That first building has a figure set from Artizans. They are a bit bigger than the old early Wargames Foundry figures. I would consider them heroic 28mm. The building look good for even the old foundry style figures.

I have the Bank (BF/DK/OW01) and the Gunsmiths (BF/DK/OW7). I think they fit in well within my small, but expanding, western town alongside buildings by Sarissa and 4Ground. My Old West figures are mostly Artizan but I have several Foundry (and possibly other manufacturers acquired via eBay) that are all close to 'true' 28mm, ie. not really oversize (like Black Scorpion & some others that are closer to 30mm or even 32mm) and the buildings fit well with my figures.
