and I thought you "just" did buttons on lapels in 6mm. I got my Leven Miniatures Hougoumont (and their LHS) before even on general release, but, to my shame, it's still sitting there waiting to get started. I am meant to be retired and now working part time…you can guess the rest, with a staffing crisis. Your painting of the brickwork is superb…in any scale, let alone 6mm. The North Wall/stable wall is worth seeing on the linked site. There must be several efforts at drybrushing in various shades of red/brown and black to achieve this. The shrubbery and trees are great. I am sure I recall hearing Leven would go on to do the formal garden wall. You, of course, have the south wall ending where it meets the ballustrade (as per the kit)……you may well still have to double the size of the model to continue that wall along the south and east side! Let's face it, that was where most the fighting actually happened. Really inspiring work. |

It did take a few layers of drybrushing , start a mid brown coat then a black wash make sure the wash is uneven then a red brown brush, orange brown , flesh dry brush 3 shades talern flesh, dwarf flesh then elf flesh the a very light white brush is actually very quick Richard |

Tallarn Flesh! I am down to my last quarter of the bottle and it cannot be replaced……..but I do think the other tips are great. Now you mention the different highlights, I can see them all on that north wall. Moonfleetminis…this is the art of marketing! Tell you you cannot have something and must wait and…guess what! The kit is great. I intend to redo the walls nearer to scale thickness, but they would be too delicate then for anything beyond show. |

Just add snakebite leather to a mid tone flesh colour it will give the same effect as tallarn flesh maybe a dab of dark red if required ! You can still get the old colours on eBay but prices are rocketing. |

Never……………. I have protected my last bottle for several years. That is a brilliant tip. The Geeks in Games Workshop always assure me that their latest is the same… But it is not Tallarn Flesh with an Ogryn Flesh wash. I do apologise for getting off subject. Your model is superb |
