I have a lot of the DzC minis but the rules just have not stuck with me. Is anyone else using a different rule set with the minis?

Robotech tactics?

Dirtside II
Stargrunt II
Tomorrow's War
Hammer's Slammers

Any of those and probably a lot more besides should work with DzC minis.

Heavy Gear might also be worth checking out. It has gears, tanks, infantry and even flyers, but the latter might need some house rules.

Try using epic Armageddon? You could use pre built stats for ease of figuring out point values, or you could assign them and try to figure out appropriate points yourself.

I guess it depends on what kind of game you want to play. So long as the minis represent what you expect them to, and behave the way you think they should, you should be good to go.

Have you thought about modifying them a bit? We are probably going to make some changes in how we play it, first thing is to make the weapons ranges so that they are either move with no penalty, no move and shoot or move half and shoot rather than the weird distances they have.

@ Pictor – yeah, that is what seems fiddly. Overall like the rules and the theme but after thinking about it, it is the movement that seems a little odd.

Howdy,

I really like the Dropzone Commander figures.

I am in the process of working up scenarios for use with Command Decision, and use the DzC figures for the games.

Ponder on,

JAS
