About a week we ran a game down at my gaming club. We staged a scenario set in the French-Indian War using the rule set Donnybrook by Barry. Hilton and Clarence Harrison.

The rules main focus seems to be the late 17th century, but the rulebook stated that they are intended to cater for games set in later periods as well(the rule boom says 1760). Anyway, we have tried it a couple of times and do like the rules and thus we used it for this particular period as well. In order to make it suit the setting we did add some house rules to it. In short Donnybrook worked out perfect for our needs and we plan stick to these rules.

The scenario focuses around French raid on an Anglo-American settlement and the theft of a Strongbox. If you do want read the entire AAR and see some additional photos you can check out this link to my blog
