That is of course the point. These are 15mm, I now realise……….

I look at my 28mm and could weep…….how do folk paint to this standard at this scale?

At least I do not bite my nails…

Awesome!

Paulalba: Is there any way you could give a painting tutorial on how you helped your nephew?

Thank you
Michael

Thanks gents for your kind comments on David's painting, I know he's chuffed that fellow gamers like his figures.

Michael to be honest this is young David's own talent, my nephew brother and I discuss our painting basing etc pretty tegularly so I it helps us all. When my brother and I started naps and wargames figures again after around a 20 year break it was due to young David being of an age for LOTR. We painted everything fast to get armies together and unfortunately with our naps it was the same.

Over the past couple of years we have went back to more shading and highlighting and looking to make our bases that wee bit better. David's using triads from foundry as well as vallejo and coat d Arms paints. He 3 shades when he feels it merits it and keeps it simple in other areas. He's now in his very early 20's and is always looking to improve his figures and is building some really nice naps, 40k and FOW armies. We get our own inspiration from all the excellent painters online.

There are so many cracking painters out there Michael, Im not sure if I'd be any good at pointing anyone in the right direction for painting. However if someone wanted to ask me something on I'd be happy to give a heads up on anything. My email is in my blogger profile.

Cheers
Paul
