My baggage train for NWF games. This has already featured in a TSATF game where the British attempted to stop a force of Afghans stealing the baggage. Very close game but the Afghans managed to just win….

Great work, Mike. Where did you get the elephants from? Got an AAR of the game anywhere? (If not, why not grin).

Yes, I'd also love to hear how you put those together. Beautiful work! And I'd love to see some pics of that game if you have any.

These are the Armies in Plastic range of Asian Elephants.

They were a limited release and seem to be sold out in most places. They use a vinyl elephant (I believe from Preiser), resin platforms and pieces and a metal rider.

I forgot to take my camera in for the NWF game, so I'm afraid there are no pictures or AAR of that game.

We are going to be starting the Valley of Fire campaign soon so I should have a number of other AArs on my Little Wars Revisited blog soon.

thanks

Mike

What was the the color of your lightest tone of tan or brown that you used? I have some elephants that I have painted in a grey color but yours look much better in the more brownish color, which I believe to be more correct. I was hoping to achieve the same look as your elephants by applying a light brown wash to my existing grey paint job, but was curious as to the color(s) you used.Thanks.

@italwars – yes they are historical – I have some black and white drawings/ reports showing an elephant baggage train in the NWF

These elephants come already coloured, I'm afraid so I didn't paint them

BHM ..thanks i know that they were used as bagagge train …but you're meaning also used as an amblulance ?…maybe not the most confortable solution if you ask the opinion of those 2 wounded boys :-)
