It's been a long time since I read comic books regularly (high school). Reaching back to my teen years, it was the following:

#1 Conan the Barbarian – savage fury, raw courage
#2 Spiderman – conflicted teen, secret identity
#3 Black Canary – loved that uniform and, well … hormones, what can I say?
