OK, so I got the head and body drilled to add a pin so the head can turn from side to side. You can see some top down views that show it in center, right, and left positions.
Also, here is a size comparison picture featuring some Star Wars figures:

Very cool. I had always imagined their snouts to be more like tentacles, but who am I to argue? Looking forward to the finished product. What sort of weapons are you providing? |

The snouts will be tentacles, I just haven't gotten that far yet. If you notice in the pictures, the two trunks are very flat on the end. They each have a hole drilled so I can mount the rest of the tentacle/trunks, that each will be able to pivot independently. I am going to build a laser rifle with a power cable that will attach to a pack on the harness, that both trunks will pivot to a certain position to hold it. I did the ears last night, but am unhappy with them. So I am going to re-do them tonight lol! |
