As it says in the title. A friend is building a 1/64 scale AWI ship. He does nice work. I'm looking for crew. Real 25mm would be nice, though I'll settle for 28mm in a pinch. The guys should be in fairly static poses or working, rather than waving swords and such.

Climbing the rigging would be nice.

RAFM makes French and British Sailors and Marines in 25mm. I have some for my Napoleon in Egypt games. They are kind of stiff poses, but they should do for a model ship.

Tough request. Most 18th century sailors are either early (for Pirate period) or Napoleonic. I'm also curious, as I game the AWI.

Minifigs had a selection of sailors as well; I don't know if they still produce them or not. I can't say they were specifically AWI sailors, but sailors' garb was similar for a very long period of time (and I used them for F&IW and AWI).

Old Glory has AWI sailors, but not in the AWI section. You have to search for them in the ship section.
They are wearing large slops so may be rather bulky on a 1:64 model.

Here are some pictures of the Old Glory AWI naval crew sets:

I have some of the old MiniFig naval figures and they are of the usual chunky MiniFig sculpting style. They are/were produced as part of their Pirate line but seem to be generic enough to use as AWI – Napoleonic sailors. Unfortunately they don't seem to be listed (or easily findable) on the MiniFigs UK web site. miniaturefigurines.co.uk
