OLDEST CANNONBALL FOUND IN UK. For those who've missed this news, the oldest cannonball has been confirmed as a find at the Battle of Northampton (1460) site. A great find and very important as recognition for the battlefield – local to me – which is at risk of development and is now hopefully on the cusp of some support, in form of inclusion in the development of Delapre Abbey buildings as tourist centre. more here in the link. link Simon. |
