The Dallas / Fort Worth area has a few conventions and several clubs. He should have no trouble getting into the hobby there.

There are several very active gaming groups in the Austin area and most of the major cities in Texas have at least one gaming convention. Dave

Where in Texas? From what I hear, Texas is alive with Wargamers and conventions. The Austin TX SAGA group is running a SAGA tournament on 28 March. San Antonio Texas – Bolt Action Group "Dragon's Lair SA" (in San Antonio Texas)

Texicon in Grapevine Texas June 25th through the 28th.

This year, Texicon, held in Grapevine on the last weekend of June, will feature a "Ft. Worth Wars" room dedicated primarily to historical miniatures. For more information, go to the Texicon website: texicon.net
