Hello Recently i purchased on ebay a lot of 28mm French Infantry with pre 1812 uniform..Line and Voltigeurs I don't play Imperial Period Napoleonic but i love to paint minis for skirmish type (Vendée) scenario for an Early Napoleonic/Revolutionary period…so i would ask, please, if those French Infantry (from Mirliton)could be, with a simple head swapping (i have quite few bicornes, Tarleton helmets and Hussars headgears in Mirliton)pass for Early type French..i know the main issue could be the short tails…maybe not noticeable at this scale for Line Infantry…but, in the case of Voltigeurs..that i would really like to trasform in Chasseurs wearing Mirliton Hussar type hat (like the Cisalpine ones and some French in Italy) andwith short gaiters..the tails seem really too much short..on the hand i read somewhere, but i did'nt fing great evidence, that they were progressivly equipped with very short tailed tunics…is it true?…what about the rest of uniforms ..could it pass for what i'm looking after? thanks in advance |

Too much work, put them back up on ebay and use the money to buy the proper and abundant AWI figures. |

If you are talking about LINE infantry, head swaps with bicorns is the way to go. Light infantry is another story. |
