I couldn't see these being discussed anywhere else. link Would I be right in thinking that with the belgic shakos, they would be easily convertible to Belgian Infantry at Waterloo? |

It would be quite some work for figures that already exist. You would have to carve down the epaulettes and ensure that none of the soldiers have a sabre briquette. You would then have to add shoulder rolls for the flanquers. Also, and most obviously you would have to replace the back packs as the Netherlands troops carried a cowhide pack like the French. |

Yes I would think the belgic shakos would match quite well. The British supplied packs and arms to the Dutch-Belgiams. What they wore was varied in this swiftly raised army is still difficult to determine with certainty. They were rearmed with the British Brown Bess (East India Pattern) just before the campaign started. You could consider mixing with French uniforms. Stephen |
