Seeing some nicely painted 1/600th Night Fighters I was wondering – "What rules do people use for aerial night fighting?"

IIRC, there was a pretty good extension of the Air Pirates version of the old AH "Mustangs" rules for night fighters.

There really aren't a lot of great options.

As mentioned, the Mustangs addendum on the Yahoo group is a decent start.

Some people are playing scenarios out with minis, using the Nightfighter boardgame.

There are also some house rules, which are actually pretty decent, for the B-17 boardgame (unofficial Lancaster variant), which has quite a bit of detail too, so is worth doing a little internet searching for.

I suspect some people just make up house-rules, as they go along, for individual scenarios.

I sort of planned on using my (whatever decade they end up painted) for low light evening/dawn scenarios, e.g. catching up with the bombers just before they cross the coast back to their bases. So using my regular rules (Bag the Hun).
