I have been working over the weekend to build a new website for Fife & Drum Miniatures. It will serve as the gateway to different pages for the Minden, AWI and Artillery Equipment ranges that we have.

fifeanddrum-minis.com/index.html

I do not have the shopping cart set up yet, but I have posted all of the Minden and Artillery Equipment codes and pictures, added a picture gallery, and a work in process workbench where you can see the most recent greens that we have.

This web site will eventually replace the blogs that I have for Minden and Fife & Drum, but I will continue to keep my Der Alte Fritz Journal going as a separate venture.

Click on the link to the new web site and have a look for yourself. I think that you will find that things are better organized now.

Excellent. Please note in some cases prices are not aligned on the same line as the code, which makes it confusing.

Thank you Hans. It is kind of on a shake down cruise so I appreciate people finding any typos or other errors or difficulties.

UPDATE: the shopping cart has been activated for the AWI figures, only, at the time of this posting. I will be working on adding the SYW Minden figures to the cart function.

Are you going to put up pictures of the individual miniatures? Otherwise its kind of a shot in the dark unless you also reference the blog.

I'm a few months away from putting in an order, but if you don't mind a little constructive criticism…. I liked on your blog how there were pictures of each of the poses. It would be nice if that feature was carried over to the new site. Also it would be nice to be able to find out shipping costs and acceptable payments before getting to the checkout page of an order.

I plan to have pictures of the individual figures on the site, but with over 400 figures, it will take time to accomplish this.

The checkout isn't working as expected as it is not including postage charges. This needs to be fixed obviously. For international orders I keep it simple by charging a flat rate of $10.00 USD per shipment regardless of size and weight of the box while US-based postage is for the actual amount.

At the moment PayPal is the accepted method of payment.

This is still much work to do before this bird is ready to fly. I appreciate the feedback and comments.
