I was wondering just whose flags people were using for there British regiments? I suppose that you could use Crimean flags, but they are not quite right. Also, when did Canadian militia units get issued with colours, officially or otherwise?

Re: "Also…During the War of 1812 Canadian Fencible regiments carried colours except for the Voltigeurs and the GLI (re GLI, still debate re colours ie that they may have been lost when the Americans took Fort George), which were light infantry. The Incorporated Militia battalion of Upper Canada received their colours in 1815.

There is considerable debate as to whether or not the Sedentary militia carried colours during the War of 1812…most say not. However, most sedentary regiments received their colours after the war in 1815-16.
