I needed a break from 6mm so I decided to paint up some 15mm Lone Gunman Games amazones. The original mounts were actually tigers but they were a little small for my tastes so I swapped them out for some riding lizards from 15mm.co.uk (sorry for the crappy smartphone pics, couldn't find my camera) Here we have a patrol tracking a male trespasser through their swampy domain…

I really like the riding lizards, much more fun than yet another boring horse. I mean come on people, its fantasy right?
They were also real easy to paint, I'll definitely be adding some more to my next order from 15mm.co.uk and maybe try and magnetise them so I can swap different riders on them. |

Wow! Very nice. They look better than mine. I also swapped out their mounts, but I was mundane and put on horses. |

I'd change the mounts from horses on most of my fantasy stuff if I could. Reason? I hate painting horses. Just… hate it. Pathologically. No logic behind it. Just… yuk. |

Well, one of my suggestions for 15mm.co.uk's monster poll was more and different kinds of fantasy riding critters so with a bit of luck who knows, maybe you'll never have to paint a normal horse again ;-) |

Must agree with the remount – I went with the tigers but as you can see they seem a little small. Your lizards are far better. link More pics/comments here: link |
