I know all comparisons are odious, and often figure compatibility is in the eye of the beholder, but…
does anyone have a comparison shot of the above? Or can point me to a blog or page that would show figures from the two ranges together?
If you do you will have my eternal gratitude (which with 2 dollars should still get you a cup of coffee!)
Thanks in advance
C.

I do not know from personal experience, but I believe that I've read a number of places that Redoubt figures are considerably larger.

I do have Perry figures mixed with my Warlord plastics and I consider them to be very close in size (although the plastic horses seem a bit wider.

Hope that helps.

I have Redoubt, Renegade and Bicorne which mix together well. Perry's are noticeably smaller. I don't have any pictures of comparisons, but I know there were some posted here on TMP years ago.

I have seen many comments echoing those of Il Condottiero above. ECW ranges comes in two groups, the larger one he identifies, and then Perry-Warlord-Old Glory group.

Add The Assault Group to the Redoubt/Renegade/Bicorne grouping. I have Bicorne and Assault Group cav in the same units and they blend perfectly.

I have all ranges mentioned + Foundry and I agree with the comments except that I find TAG a bit small though to fit with Redoubt

Hi- Here is a comparison photo of various manufacturers;
link

There is a Redoubt figure next to a converted Perry scot – the only change is that I have given him a brimmed hat. To include a variety of figures, I will pad the base. Once it is flocked and they are together in their unit you don't really notice the base height – as long as the heads are roughly the same level, they look fine. As you can see the Redoubt figure is so big that I have had to trim the base and sink it into the mounting board I use for bases, The Foundry figure next to it needs lots of padding to bring it up.

thank you very much, that is a really interesting and useful post.
I had more or less convinced myself to drop the idea (basically I am converting Warlord figures into a petard party and forlorn hope for the SYW). I was interested by the variety offered by some of the Redoubt special sets. Now seeing this, and given that many of the figures are running or bent forward, I am beginning to think again that they may blend in quite nicely…

Ah decisions, decisions…

But once again many thanks for your help.
