Does anyone have any house rules tweaks they use for the basic 2ns Edition system? Thanks! |

The only thing I add is to give artillery another die when they fire on a square. It's a great game. It might be better if the attacker doesn't fire or melee first, but that would require major surgery to the game system. I'm playing the new Prussian scenario booklet. Every scenario seems unbalanced and unwinable by one side or the other. Wavre is astoundingly anti-French. |

I found Wavre tough for the French, but think next time I will attack on their left if he cards allow me. This Prussian reserve and Militia are very close to their map edge. At BGG a poster said that they had had success with the French by attacking on the right. I have not adopted any house rules other than have each card played equate to 4 minutes, so every 15 cards, an hour passes and I then write up my AAR as hourly reports (example LINK – link |

Unusually for us, we've not found any need to change CnC Napoleonics. It has plenty of chrome already. |

Nope, don't use house rules. Game is fine as is and if a ruleset needs house rules I usually move on. Don't understand why Wavre is anti-French. Played it yesterday and the French destroyed the Prussians. It is a game where you need to be patient with the cards and stick to your strategy. That is what I did. Never understood the gripe about cards. A good player plays the period. Cards add color and friction of war if well designed. |

So the Prussian add-on is worth getting. Ok, I will source a copy and give it a try |

>It's a great game. It might be better if the attacker doesn't fire or melee first, but that would require major surgery to the game system. Main reason I hate the game…all plausibility as a simulation is out the door. Fun to play as a game, but I have to look at it like playing star wars space combat. It was something to play with a 10 year old but I really prefer a minimum of simulation. |

Love the game(s). I use one house rule, a simple saving throw, roll of a one "1" on a D6 saves, I love the way it toned down the sweeping casualties. My two cents worth…. |
