Hi guys,

I've spent a few spare hours knocking a new building together for European horse and musket games. I've posted a short, pic heavy, how-I-did on my blog.

Hope someone finds it useful.

A very clever idea to use the teddy fur for the thatched rood. Well done.

I look forward to your finishing report.

Nice! The thatched roof looks particularly good. Mine always end up looking like a Wookie with a part in it's hair.

The build is 145mm tall to the top of the gable (not including roof). It is 124mm wide (120mm + 2 x 2mm MDF gables plonked on the ends. It is 80mm wide at the base with a 10mm step out on each side for the upper floor (100mm total).

Looks great! What did you use for the window framing?

olicana06 Feb 2015 8:14 a.m. PST

Those are windows by War Bases, as are the doors. They are 5 for £1.00 GBP (large), the smaller windows are 10 for a £1.00 GBP They are laser cut MDF.
