Hi all.

Anyone know where I can find some good saguaro cacti that would scale well with 28mm? I have the Pagasus Hobbies cacti sets, but they're all small cacti. (One of those sets gave me more small cacti than I'll ever need). I'm just looking for some big ol' cacti for terrain markers, oasis-decorators, etc…

Also, I'm not opposed to making my own if anyone has a good suggestion on how.But I'd rather just buy them if it's too time-consuming to make them.

Thanks!

I don't have any real suggestions for you, but I was looking to make some cactus hedges, and it seemed to me that everyone made saguaro cactus in their western ranges and no one the more common type. I finally found that Pegasus set and was overjoyed.

Check your local cake decorator supply shop. I got some green, plastic cacti, around 4"-6" tall. You can also check e-Bay for them. They will take paint, as long as you seal them with either Pledge Floor Polish, or apply The Dip. You can also prime them with Artist's Gesso (white, gray, or black), then paint, and seal. Cheers!

If I'd known Woodland Scenics sells the SceneArama Desert Plants set fully painted before I bought three boxes, and for only a couple of dollars more…(Aaaargh!)

The DIY set sells for around $20 USD here in Oz!

That's actually AUS$20.

I made some from pipe cleaners! Fast quick and in a hurry!

Sgt Slag for the win!

These cost 20 cents each at a cake decorator's I wandered into quite by accident. They're perfect. I figure I'll trim a few limbs off of them so they don't all look the same. But otherwise, these are perfect for what I needed.

Thanks to all! (Especially you, Sarge!)
