In 15mm figures, who makes French Wars of Religion miniatures. It is a period I am interested in starting. Also, any good rules systems that cover this period? Thank you, Dennis |

Khurasan Miniatures have some very nice Elizbethans that would be suitable but they have not been released yet. |

Minifigs have an extensive range for late 16th Century as well as Essex. In my opinion they are quite compatible. Marco |

Some of the Freikorps 15 ranges might be useful from QRF |

I've got a load of Minifigs and Essex I plan to use for this, but anything late 16th century Europe will fit. |

Essex is currently the best for the bulk of troop types, and gives you a variety of poses. Unfortunately, in 15mm it's hard to find Landsknechts in Pluderhosen. Very frustrating if you're interested in gaming the late 16thC. |

Old Glory 15s -19th Century Miniatures have some Landsknechts. If your eyes are better than mine you might be able to see if they will do. |

Grumpy makes excellent 15mm lansknecht in pluderhosen. Old Glory has various gendarmes and reiters that can be used. Viking Forge, 15mm.co.uk, Minifig, and QRF's ranges also have figures that can be used. Additionally, you can get the old Mike's Models figures from Essex. They make some nice Millers, Reiters, Lancers and lansknechts in pluderhosen. my 15mm Wars of religion figures are mostly MM. |

For rules, I highly recommend 'Spanish Fury' by the Perfect Captain. They are written specifically for the period, include a lot of useful background, and there's even a campaign system for the French Wars of Religion. link |

Thank you for all the good advice. I forgot about Essex and Mikes Models. Thanks again, very helpful. Dennis |

The Old Glory figures are for the Italian Wars, and therefore not appropriately attired. If you buy Mikes Models figures from Essex be prepared for either a huge amount of work, or to accept figures with solid metal where there should be voids. The moulds are ancient, and it shows. A better option would be looking for original 1980s castings second-hand. I know they're out there because I managed to pick up enough landsknechts to complete an army a few years ago – and this is in Oz. |

for rules I recommend Impetus. |
