"Jordan executed two prisoners early Wednesday morning to avenge the burning alive of a Jordanian fighter pilot in a move that seemed likely to thrust the usually peaceful country into the front lines of the battle against the Islamic State.Jordanian state television said one of the executed prisoners was Sajida al Rishawi, the 44-year-old Iraqi woman whose release the Islamic State had demanded in return for the life of a Japanese hostage killed last week. The other was Ziad al-Karbouli, a jihadist who once worked with Abu Musab al Zarqawi, the Jordanian who founded al Qaida in Iraq, the organization that was the precursor to the Islamic State.Government spokesman Mohammed al Momani announced in Amman that the two prisoners had been executed at dawn. Both Karbouli and Rishawi had been in prison for nearly a decade…"

Horrific news about the pilot.

Good to see what a strong, decisive leader will do in reaction to such events.

According to a news story I just read, King Abdullah is quoting lines from the Clint Eastwood movie "Unforgiven".

Just more madness from Deash … hopefully as some pundits, "experts" etc. are saying this may backfire on Deash ? As I said on another post, The only real possible solution, IMO, if there is a solution at all ? Is the armies of the region en mass need to take the war to Deaah, et al. The Saudis, Turks now Jordanians, etc. and others need to roll into Iraq, with all those MBTs, APCs, etc., etc., etc., they seem to have in abundance. To take care of their very much corrupted lunatic rad/fun moslem brothers. The rub … most of the Western moslem armies are Sunni, while 60% of Iraq and most of Persia as Shia … The non-Shia Iraqis, besides the "fighting" Kurds, even with all the re-re-training by NATO, etc. … Seems to me like that old saying, "You can put lip stick on a pig … but it's still a pig …"

What a way to go. The only reason I can think of why Daesh would do something like this is to make other countries hate them even more and escalate the conflict in Iraq and Syria. Which tells me that they believe widening the war into a region-wide conflict is to their advantage.

Bottomline, IMO, as I said the regional forces need to combine and go on their own bloody anti-Deash Jihad/Crusade … Put aside their differences, and go on a bloody "jihad of extermination" of Deash. Many, many will die, both combatants and non-combatants, etc., alike … The West can't take the lead on the ground. That had been done, for right or wrong … Other moslems need to take care of Deash, again, not the West …
