Just curious if there is any news that I missed somewhere. They've been down for quite a while now. I certainly expect them to reopen; just wondering if there is any news on that front.

He is partially open for some of his ranges. I ordered some figs from him (zombies) and got them last week.

I'm looking for the Federal Army though.

Looks like you'll have to wait for a bit longer. if you have his e mail try sending him a message to get an update.

khurasanminiatures03 Feb 2015 9:55 a.m. PST

I do have e-mail you know. grin

Pretty soon. Things always take longer than you had hoped when you're doing renovations, and some supplies I needed to get my stock back into shape so it can be accessed for order fulfillment were delivered incomplete, knocking back my plans by at least two weeks. However, I finally got the missing parts from ULine and was able to get my stock mostly back accessible. That's good news long term as well, as it also gives me a place to put stock for ranges not released yet, to get them accessible for order fulfillment (so I can release them).

At the moment I have some orders that are so delinquent it's a bit shameful frown so I'm working in getting those retired. I hope to have that largely done by the end of the week. Then I'll be reopening and will probably release a ton of new stuff all at once -- historical, sci fi and fantasy.

I'm continually having new stuff made too. For instance I've just had the 15mm Dinosaurs of Hell Creek range greatly expanded with five poses of Edmontosaurus (three adults and two juveniles), a thescelosaur and a pachycephalosaur -- smaller dinosaurs that are less sexy but nonetheless important residents of any Lost World scenario. Also coming soon for that same range are three poses of Struthiomimus (think Gallimimus from Jurassic Park, except mine have feathers as they should!).

So hang in there.

I better be seeing those Romans you teased us with…….

LoudNinjaGames03 Feb 2015 11:05 a.m. PST

Sorry to hear about the supply shortages.

I hope the delays won't be too great. I know plenty of folks chomping at the bit to get your stuff.

That reminds me, I still need Russian tanks :)

Note … I deleted my post … didn't say anything bad about Khurasan. But I was repeating something I already said before … I'm old … I forget … old fart

khurasanminiatures04 Feb 2015 8:22 a.m. PST

And yet people still don't use it, war monkey.

Grignotage04 Feb 2015 8:37 a.m. PST

I'm looking forward to your reopening. I've got some money ear-marked for those Itu'a creatures (the insectoid creatures that wear bio-body armor) and some of the gun crab things.

Emails are boring. Forums are fun! :-)

Jimboba04 Feb 2015 11:26 a.m. PST

No!
Stop now.
Do not reopen.
Do not release any new miniatures.
And for goodness sake, don't dare kick off with a sale!

Cacique Caribe04 Feb 2015 1:08 p.m. PST

Sale? Khurasan?

Dan

khurasanminiatures04 Feb 2015 1:54 p.m. PST

Exactly -- I don't run sales to attract customer attention to my lines … I release new product. grin

he, he. Gotta try…

Sales, while "fun," implies something to me, (other than loss leaders,) about profit and bottom lines.

Grumble – "Helpful" friends in business who keep telling me dark little secrets of running a business – I felt so much happier when I was ignorant/naive… The truth shall set you free… and make you cynical…

Any business that sells at a loss may not be around very long.

That's okay, you just make it up in volume. I understand this was how Target Canada operated until very recently.
