Regarding the British in the AWI, were they alway white? Or were they the same color as the facings?

They were red, with regimental lace, at least as far as the flank coys. go.

Bill,
You have Loyalist units with green jackets in this case, so maybe green with white or red lace.

They were the colour of the coat, except for the Foot Guards who had blue; note that those of "Royal" regiments were also red in this period.
