Nice to see them back, including the regiment deals.
None of the new, previously unreleased minis yet.

Some of those arquebusiers look a bit odd.

Gwydion01 Feb 2015 7:50 a.m. PST

Why? They look okay to me.

Very nice but I hope they release their Arsenal Miniatures range soon.

I have all of these when it was still Pro Gloria. The arquebusier poses are fine "up close and personal."

The shooting poses look indeed odd, but they are taken from a contemporary depiction – I have it linked or archived, but cannot remember where.

Landsknechts arquebus almost always fought in loose order (verloren, as opposed to feste) and would skirmish and sometimes shoot while moving.

Can anyone characterize the quality of Warlord's metal castings these days?

Henry Martini01 Feb 2015 7:20 p.m. PST

In answer to your question Gwydion, there's the strange appearance of the weapons themselves (sort of carbine versions of the arquebus), figures apparently issuing marching fire (in two cases from the hip), and the odd, chinless head on the top right figure.

Gwydion03 Feb 2015 12:00 p.m. PST

Sorry I was taking you literally – I agree about the arquebus being carried by some figs.

I think the guy without the chin is actually just tucking it in.

I presumed the others were either shooting with the butt against their chest or in the act of moving to that position. (that was as Puster says a common alternative before shoulder firing became standard.
