I am thinking about using 40mm x 40mm bases with four infantry figures on them, in 2 ranks of 2. Will this be compatible with most rules sets where each unit represents a regiment? Thanks. Clay |

It would work fine. I've seen that scheme several times before and it is flexible and looks good. |

And frankly almost any rule set will work with any basing with only minor tweaks. Just so long as both sides are based the same… |

Yeah and me too. Well apart from the fact mine are actually on 35x35 and I don't us Black Powder! :o) Seriously though, 4 figures on a square base is the way to go. It makes columns look good and gives two rank line a nice tight appearance. Speaking of which, that's why I went for 35mm – for my taste 40 leaves too much daylight between figures. |
