The tank model looks great, but so do the five 1/35 scale British infantry figures. Not only are they well-sculpted, but I really like the way they're painted too. It would be interesting to know if Tamiya paints were used.

… and, despite Blackadder, would have been unlikely to have had such 'sniper friendly' signature elements as cuff rank or a swagger cane by late 1917!

Those pictures looks like they are taken from an official Tamiya display at a show, so most likely they are painted with Tamiya paints.

I think the kit was going for $125 USD

When this kit was announced, it raised a bit of a stink in the modeling community. The model itself is no doubt very well molded, but a lot of people felt put off in paying the motorized tax, and it reminded them (us) of the "bad old days" when details, accuracy and dimensions were flubbed in order to be able to fit a battery pack and/or electric motor in the kit.
