I have a wee stockpile of 15mm Stugs, Panzer IIIs, IVs, Panthers and a rogue Tiger or two that I've been assembling and now wish to paint but all I can find are side-on views of camo schemes. Does anyone have some links to top-down views or photos? |

Just make it up – they did. There were no 'schemes' until very late 1944 – each unit and individual crew was meant to apply camouflage to taste, in order to suit local conditions. There were as many different 'schemes' as there were vehicles in the German army. That said, they did start factory-applying camouflage schemes such as 'Ambush' pattern toward the end of 1944. However, these were often not applied on the tops of vehicles in order to save paint and thinners. |
