The Lorraine Campaign (Also known as "Patton Stuck in the Mud for Three Months") is a very interesting yet little known period of the campaign in Europe.

My Father served with 90th ID in that Campaign. And was WIA by German FA or mortars. Lost hearing in one ear. That may have saved his life as he no longer was fit for front like duty. Which may in the long run have allowed me to be here. Thanks Pop ! thumbs up link
