New EWM Interwar Range releases . The Inter war period, Liddell Hart, the creation of the "Mechanised force" in the early 1920's has long been a passion of mine. One day I would love to do a display war game of the "Salisbury plain experiments" fought as a war game on the table top, much like the real things started in the 1920's. That said, models, or war games models in 20mm are hard to find. There are some excellent resin fine detail models out there, but these generally don't stand up to well to constant handling or as we wargamers like to think, moving the models around the table top!.

link Jan Giesber's is a fine modeller with a very fine range of models. He's also a good friend of mine and has kindly allowed me to make "war games models" of some of his interwar and WW1 and WW2 model subjects. We will also be stocking some of his models here in the UK. These are the first examples and are available from February. They are just great examples of the "thinking of the period", Carden-Loyd one man tanks. Available in Marks I, Mark 1* and Mark II. Each come with a two part crew figure. They are just so "interwar. So, this is the first of our EWM Inter wars ranges. A mixture of existing EWM models, licensed war games versions of Jan's wonderful designs and a few other makers I am in discussion with right now. More on this later.

Great stuff……'real' tankettes!A couple of these will bolster my VBCW Armoured Brigade, is the CardenLoyd mg carrier on the horizon? ( And perhaps the variant mounting the 37 mm support gun??) |

Gaz, Have a blimp…..
In front are the two Carden-Loyd one man tanks (these are the Geisbers resin ones with added driver) EWM have made a driver now. Followed by EWM Carden-Loyd Tankette MKVIs, The SP version is a conversion of the EWM Belgian 47mm SP (all I did was change the shield so it looks more like the prototype 47mm Vickers one). At the rear and on the right is another simple conversion for the smoke making version. |
