I agree – the Iron Clad is very Russian. However I would extend the log pile base as most Russian Windmills were on more substantial bases. Tony |

The Polish Company ( the Wargamer Company ) which produces By Fire and Sword do a very nice windmill. It is seventeenth century Eastern European, but the technology probably had not changed much by WW2. Unlike the Iron Clad Miniatures one, it has a more substantial base. It has a 60mm x 50mm base and is 130mm tall, excluding the sails which are each 90mm long from the centre point. There is a picture on their web-site. link |
