The model itself is well done, but I really dislike the log for a base.

And Warlock is right. Perhaps she was abandoned in the navy yard? grin

I think the wood-to-metal ratio seen above would make her very difficult to sink.

Isn't she riding a bit low? She would probably displace a lot less wood than seawater.
